As a group of professionals involved in buildings and facilities, Nihon Meccs is committed to
fulfill our responsibility to the global environment. In particular, to realize a carbon-neutral
society, as a member of NTT Group, we will accelerate the low-carbonization and decarbonization
of our company, works, and services.
Upcoming circular economy, we will promote low emission and recycling-oriented businesses and
thoroughly implement Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) throughout the company. We will promote the
development of environmental audits and environmental education systems to ensure the execution
of these activities.

Activity Highlights
Accelerating Decarbonization Aligned with NTT Group Strategy
Continuing to Decarbonize Our Businesses
In order to address environmental issues reliably, NTT Group has been promoting its
environmental energy vision, "NTT Green Innovation toward 2040", since September 2021. The
vision aims to simultaneously achieve zero environmental impact and economic growth through
"Reducing the environmental impact of business activities" and "Creating new technologies and
innovation". The decarbonization strategy is particularly challenging. Specifically, we have
set a common group goal of achieving carbon neutrality for the entire NTT Group by
2040*1, and
as a foundation for this, we are strongly promoting low and decarbonization of each group
company's business activities.
According to NTT goal, Nihon Meccs set medium- to long-term low and decarbonization goals and
continue to actively work toward them, accomplished steady results in FY 2024.
Specifically, we first worked to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from our own buildings and
company vehicles toward achieving carbon neutrality in FY 2040, and combined this with our
goal of achieving 100% renewable energy utilization in FY 2030. We have already achieved and
continue to achieve 100% renewable energy by using renewable energy in our own buildings and
purchasing non-fossil fuel certificates for all other occupied buildings.
We are moving forward with our plan to convert company vehicles to electric vehicles, aiming
for a "100% EV rate for domestic general-purpose vehicles by 2030*2".
We installed EV charging equipment at our head office building in FY 2024.
We are working to continuously strengthen our efforts toward achieving low-emission, circular
business practices, with a goal of achieving a "recycling rate of over 99%" for
construction-related industrial waste and office waste by FY 2030".
We continue to strengthen our efforts in accordance with the carbon neutral goals of NTT and
NTT Urban Solutions Group.
